“As the minister of the Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ I am proud to say that our congregation is comprised of people who show their love for God through the selfless way we treat others both locally and abroad. Determined to be people of God, we have no ambition to be anything more and we cannot be content to be anything less.”
- Bro. Stanley J. Hubbard, Minister

Stanley J. Hubbard has faithfully served the Kingsley Terrace church of Christ since 2002. A graduate of Preston Road School of Preaching in Dallas, Texas, Bro. Hubbard received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible from the International Bible College in Florence, Alabama, and holds Master’s Degrees in three areas: Bible, Divinity, and in Marriage and Family Therapy.
The congregations within the church of Christ the world over are united in one faith by the word of God (Ephesians 4:3-6). Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and not the minister, elders, deacons, or any voted or appointed board of individual (Ephesians 1:22-23). The church of Christ is nondenominational with no central headquarters, governing body, or leader. We speak where the bible speaks and we are silent where the bible is silent. We do not follow the contemporary teachings of man but the documented teachings of Jesus Christ. Our worship service is as it is found in the bible complete with acapella singing.
Individuals who hear the word (Romans 10:17; St. Matthew 7:24-27), believe in Christ (Hebrews 11:6; St. John 3:16, St. Mark 16:15-16), repent of their sins (Luke 13:3-5: Acts 2:38; 17: 30-31), confess faith in Christ (Romans 10:8-10; Matthew 10:32-33: Acts 8:36-37), and are baptized into the church of Christ for the remission of their sins (Romans 6:3; Galatians 3:27; Acts 22:16; I Peter 3:20-21) are known as Christians, and within the congregation these members are addressed simply as “Brother” or “Sister.”
This congregation was first erected in 1917 in Indianapolis, by Br. J. L. Anthoney in the home of Bro. Milo Jones on Edgemont Avenue. From 1917 to 1963 this congregation, under a succession of ministers, called a number of locations in Indianapolis home all while experiencing a steady growth in parishioners. In 1963 under Minister G. P. Holt the congregation, now known as Kingsley Terrace, purchased a permanent location at the intersection of 30th St. and Caroline Avenue where the church continues to thrive to this day.
